How coping mechanisms can become a disease.

Here’s the thing...

People tend to have a small mindset, which leads them to believe they will retire at 65.

Every day after work, they make the choices that will most definitely make them retire at 65.

They’ve never opened their mind to the possibility that entrepreneurship and starting a business are possible; if they did, their life choices would reflect this belief.

People waste a lot of time on things that don’t improve them.

  • They drink

  • They smoke

  • They don’t hit the gym

  • They don’t educate themselves

  • They don’t surround themselves with winners

If this was me, I would be mad too.

When a person just “copes” with life and awaits this perfect moment to finally live the life they want at 65; they tend to waste all their time on coping activities.

Then once they reach 65, they still don’t find happiness. They wasted all that time waiting to be

happy later on, but then no happiness was ever found.

What happens if you don’t rewire your brain?

  1. You will reach a point where your life becomes extremely miserable and nobody will want to be around you—not your wife, kids, or coworkers.

  2. You will eventually dig such a deep hole for yourself that it will be impossible to climb out of. Forget about improving finances, health or relationships ever again ( if this is what you choose )

  3. You will never know what happiness is or what you must do to attain it

If you don’t educate yourself and see other possibilities that you can tap into, you will forever be trapped in a “coping” state until the end.

There’s something called the Internet, and it’s free; use it.

“The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” — 2 Thessalonians 3:10

So what must you do to get out of this situation?

Well, first of all, start to see the bigger picture and use social media to your advantage to find possibilities for yourself.

It’s all about trying new things; it’s a snowball effect that will never stop. Nothing happens, then everything happens.

So to find what it is you are looking for, you must try things, many of them. Some will give you 10X in return, some won’t. Then you pivot to something different, learning as you go.

You don’t need to wait until you retire to start living; you can do your best today and then carry on tomorrow.

Until next time, thank you for reading

Igor
